DraftKings, a fantasy sports betting provider, debuted its Super Bowl fantasy league this past Sunday during the Super Bowl LIII.
Sports betting is already considered legal in eight states in the U.S. – among this are Nevada and New Jersey. This was a prime opportunity for DraftKings to timely launch a Super Bowl sports fantasy game this year. According to Jason Robins, DraftKings’ CEO, there would be an estimate of more than $100 million bets for New Jersey alone in this year’s Super Bowl.
New Jersey has been cleared with the Supreme Court to legalize betting just last year. Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City is making the most of this occasion and is expected to make it a lot bigger and different this year.
The momentum is starting to sink in, and everyone was excited. Many football fans were delighted by the news.
Robins is sure that the Supreme Court will adhere to adding more states to make sports betting legal.
